The Brunette Condominiums are located on the historic Lawton Loop Parade Grounds at Fort Harrison in Lawrence Indiana
The Brunette offers studio, 1- and 2-bedroom condominiums (34 units) for permanent housing for adults with IDD. Apartment living is expensive, and neighbors are not consistent sources of support and do not often provide opportunities for social inclusion and community integration.
Residents are empowered to build skills, solve problems, and take calculated risks to maximize their personal growth in a safe and supportive environment. This inclusive approach fosters a sense of autonomy, pride, and meaningful life experiences.

What is the Brunette?
The Brunette Condominiums are Village of Merici’s first fully resident-owned venture. Offering permanent housing for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). The Brunette Condominiums promotes independence in an intentional housing community located in The Historic Fort Ben neighborhood of Lawrence, Indiana.
